My First Christmas

I LOVE CHRISTMAS! It was such a fun holiday that lasted 2 whole days! On Christmas Eve, we went to Daddy's family Christmas party. There was really good food for brunch, and I got to open my first present! I really like wrapping paper, but my parents wouldn't let me taste it :(

Grandpa J is restoring this rocking chair that Grandpa-Great made - he said that I can have it!
After that party, we went and saw The Adventures of TinTin. I like going to the movies! Then we went to Grandma and Pompa's house for Christmas Eve dinner. I finally got to eat some Sweet Potatoes this time - they were very good! After we ate dessert, we had a special visitor come see us - Santa took a quick time out from delivering presents to come see me and my cousins! I sure was happy to get my candy cane :)

After Santa left, we all got to open a present of pajamas. Sorry if the picture is a little blurry.

After we read some Christmas stories, we went to bed. I slept very good for not being in my crib. I woke up at 6 to eat, and then went back to bed until 9:30. When I woke up, I was surprised at everything that Santa brought me!

I helped Pompa open up the present that I gave him for Christmas - it was a picture of me for his desk at work!

I didn't make it through my whole stocking when I got worn out by so many presents that I was going to have to open! Do you like my new hat though?

We went to Church and sang a lot of songs, loaded up our car, and went and visited Grandma Great. A lot of Daddy's cousins were there, including Aria who was born at the beginning of December. She was very little, and Mommy and Daddy said that I was even smaller than her - that was so very long ago though! Then we went back home and opened up some more presents. All in all, I think I got a lot of presents - so many family members wanted to spoil me, I suppose :)

Mommy and Daddy also were pretty good this year, and they got a lot of presents too:

Even Lilly was good and got a present - a water fountain. I think I'm going to have to check that out when I can crawl!

So Santa did read my letter and got me something to help me jump! I love it!

And did you read my shirt in the first picture? "What Santa doesn't bring me, Grandma will". Just in case Santa didn't get me the bouncer, Grandma got me this doorway jumper. I love it too - my 2 most favorite presents!

I also had a video that I was going to post, but for some reason I can't get it to play when it gets loaded. I'll have to have Daddy look into that. But I hope that everybody had a very Merry Christmas, and that you got the presents that you were wishing Santa would bring you.

Catch Up!

I must apologize that I haven't been on here in almost a month - time flies when you are having fun, right? I'll try and do a little catch up on everything that you've missed.

On Saturday the 10th, I got to spend some one-on-one time with Daddy. Mommy helped throw a shower for my cousin Tyler's fiance, Camille. They get married in less than 2 weeks! We're so excited for them. Daddy and I went and did some Christmas shopping for Mommy. I sure had a lot of fun with Daddy.

Not too much happened last week because Daddy was feeling sick, so we mostly stayed home. Until Friday, which was a really fun, super special day! We went out to Leatherby's and I got to see Miss Amanda again! I hadn't seen her since the day I was born, so I was really excited to see her.
Then on Saturday, we went to a Christmas party for my daddy's family. It sure was a lot of fun, and I think everybody wanted to hold me. I also got to see my first doggy. I think the doggy was excited to see me because it licked me on my head.

On Sunday, I went to go visit my Great Grandma Grace. I hadn't met her yet, so she was very excited to meet me.

Well, I figure it is less than 1 week until Christmas, so I'm thinking I should write my letter to Santa:

Dear Santa,

I have been a really good boy this year. I would like something that will help me jump. I really love to jump, and it's so much more exciting than sitting or laying. I hope that you can come visit me at Grandma and Pompa's house this weekend.

Love,

Lucas

Festival of Trees

So it's me again - I apologize I haven't gotten on here earlier to post. My bad!

For the last 4 years, Heather's family's business has donated a tree to the Festival of Trees to help benefit Primary Childrens Medical Center. Heather and her mom have put together the whole thing for the last 4 years. This year's tree was called Sweet Birthday Wishes. This tree was dedicated to Heather's cousin's daughter, Jaycee, who was born 4 months premature and spent that much time at Primary Childrens. Thanks to PCMC, Jaycee will have a lifetime of birthdays to look forward to!

I took the day off last Monday so that Heather could decorate the tree. Lucas and I spent the day walking around and seeing all the other trees get decorated. If you watch Channel 2 news, you may have seen us walking around!

Heather is so talented, and I love how great her trees end up!

So Lucas is now rolling back and forth, and this week he learned how to roll from his back on to his stomach while swaddled! So, needless to say, we can't swaddle him anymore. We were a little nervous to see how well he would sleep through the night, because he has always been such a great sleeper. No need to worry - he still gets his 9-11 hours of sleep each night. In fact, he now has a new favorite sleeping position - on his side, just like daddy. But because he can't really steady himself on his side, he has to hold on to the bumper!

We also had our Ward Christmas Party tonight where Lucas met the guy in red for the first time!

Based on the picture, you'd think that he wasn't that thrilled to meet him. In actuality, the kid really does not like to smile for the camera. Take the camera away, and he will be back to smiling and laughing. Anyways, something tells me that Santa will be spoiling this kid for Christmas! Only 18 days until Christmas!
